Impact of Nursing Based on Interactive Goal-Achievement Theory on the Rehabilitation Outcomes of Patients After PCI for Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract: Objective: To explore the impact of a nursing model based on interactive goal-achievement theory on the rehabilitation outcomes of patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for coronary heart disease. Methods: A total of 62 patients with coronary heart disease who underwent PCI in our hospital from August 2024 to August 2025 were randomly divided into two groups, with 31 cases in each group. The conventional group received routine post-PCI nursing, while the intervention group received structured nursing guided by interactive goal-achievement theory in addition to routine care. Patients' illness uncertainty, self-management behaviors, quality of life, and exercise tolerance were observed. Results: After the intervention, compared to the conventional group, the intervention group had lower total scores on the MUIS-A, higher total scores on the CSMS and SAQ, and longer 6MWT distances (P<0.05). Conclusion: The implementation of nursing based on interactive goal-achievement theory can effectively help patients after PCI for coronary heart disease reduce illness uncertainty, improve self-management behaviors, and enhance exercise tolerance and quality of life, demonstrating positive clinical application value.
