Application Effect of the Pre-hospitalization Model in Optimizing the Medical Experience of Patients Undergoing Breast Surgery

Abstract: Objective: This study investigates the effectiveness of the pre-hospitalization model in breast surgery patients. Methods: The inpatient data of 80 breast surgery patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the clinical research objects. They were divided into a control group of 40 cases and an observation group of 40 cases according to the random number table method. The control group was intervened with the conventional inpatient mode, while the observation group was treated with the pre-hospitalization mode. The length of hospital stay and inpatient medical expenses of the two groups of patients were statistically analyzed. The satisfaction with the intervention was evaluated by using the self-designed intervention satisfaction questionnaire of our hospital. Results: The average length of hospital stay and average hospitalization medical expenses in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the satisfaction with intervention was higher. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The pre-hospitalization model can reduce the length of hospital stay and medical expenses for patients undergoing breast surgery, and increase their satisfaction.
