Implementation Pathways for Postpartum Rehabilitation Guidance in Obstetrical Care and Its Impact on Maternal Pelvic Floor Function Recovery

Abstract: Objective: To explore the implementation pathway of postpartum rehabilitation guidance in obstetric care and analyze its impact on the recovery of pelvic floor function in women. Methods: A total of 110 women who gave birth at our hospital between February 2024 and February 2025 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 55 women in each group. The control group received conventional obstetric care, while the observation group received postpartum rehabilitation guidance in addition to conventional care. The recovery of pelvic floor function, pelvic floor muscle strength, quality of life, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The excellent recovery rate of pelvic floor function in the observation group (90.91%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (67.27%), with statistical significance (P<0.05). Post-intervention, the pelvic floor muscle strength of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0 .05). The scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group (96.36%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (81.82%), with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Implementing postpartum rehabilitation guidance in obstetrical care can effectively promote the recovery of pelvic floor function, improve pelvic floor muscle strength and quality of life, and enhance nursing satisfaction. This approach is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
