Application of Health Management Nursing Based on Symptom Group Management in Patients Discharged from Minimally Invasive Surgery for Lung Cancer

Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of health management and nursing based on symptom group management on lung cancer patients discharged from minimally invasive surgery. Methods: A total of 54 patients with lung cancer who underwent minimally invasive surgery in our hospital from February 2023 to March 2025 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (27 cases) received routine postoperative follow-up nursing. The observation group (27 cases) also received health management nursing based on symptom cluster management. The improvement of symptoms and self-care ability of patients after discharge was observed. Results: After corresponding nursing, the MDASI-LC scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 3 and 6 months after discharge, while the ESCA total scores were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The implementation of health management nursing based on symptom group management in discharged patients with minimally invasive surgery for lung cancer plays a positive role in the improvement of symptoms and self-care ability, and helps to improve the rehabilitation effect of patients.
