Author Guidlines
1.Paper Submission
Please read the instructions before submitting your paper, which should be typeset following the sample paper. Please submit your paper to us through the online submission system. If you have any problems, please contact the editorial board office for help. ita@ivypub.org.
Note: In order to speed up the reviewing process, authors must recommend 3-6 reviewers in the relevant areas to us when submitting your paper.
2.Guidelines to Authors
We accept Chinese and English papers. The papers submitted to ITA should be original. Please make sure that your paper has not been published elsewhere. The duplicate submission is forbidden. ITA will not be liable for any copyright disputes caused by the authors. The papers should be informative, novel, well organized and coherent, fitting for the scope and focus of ITA. In addition, the papers should reflect the latest trends and achievements in the subject area.
The specifications are as follows.
(1) All the following items should be listed in both Chinese and English: title, author (please mark the corresponding author with *), affiliation, address, zip code, abstract, keywords, etc..
(2) Title
The title should be no more than 20 words, refined and distinct. Abbreviations should be avoided in the title. Subtitle can be added as needed.
(3) Keywords
The keywords should reflect the feature of the paper, and be in favor of literature retrieval. The keywords should be at least 3 and no more than 8, separated by semicolon.
(4) Abstract
A Chinese abstract of 200-300 words is advisable. The key points include four factors: research purpose, methods, results and conclusions, and innovation. The English abstract is an accurate and short summarization without explanation or comments of the paper. It should reflect the main information of the paper briefly and clearly. The English abstract can jump out of the Chinese abstract (notional words are no more than 150). Please refer to the first appendix for the details.
(5) Body
The body should be written in Chinese. Words in uppercase or lowercase, block or italics and superscript or subscript, and different languages and operators should be marked clear; seldom-used proper nouns appearing firstly in the paper should be attached with English or abbreviations; formulas should be numbered continuously and concisely; terminology should refer to the national science and technology noun regulations.
(6) Quantities and units
Measurement unit should implement national standards. Abolished units cannot be used. The author must convert them according to the current standard.
(7) Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be put in the corresponding place and numbered in sequence. Coordinate graphs should have headings which consist of nomenclatures, the corresponding symbols and units. Table format is a three-line table. Photographs should be of sufficiently high quality. Ensure that the size of figures and photographs is in proportion. Generally, the width should be no longer than 7cm. The width of Full Column tables should be no longer than 16cm.
(8) References
References should be expressed in English and identified in the text by Arabic numerals and numbered in the order cited. Only public publications should be listed, which allows editors and readers to consult. Reference format is as the second appendix.
(9) Funding
All the Key research projects, or projects funded by the nation or the province should indicate the name and number of the funds at the footnote of the first page in the paper.
(10) Authors’ Biographies
Each author should provide a short biography at the end of the manuscript. Authors’ biographies should follow the format below:
Name (the born year-), gender, nationality, education background, qualification, research area, Email. A photo of each author is also required (size: 26*32mm, format: jpg).
3.Guidelines to the English abstract
(1) The content of an English abstract mainly includes the following four aspects.
a. The research focus (i.e. statement of the problem(s)/research issue(s) addressed);
b. The methods and progress to solve the problem (mainly explain the methods and progress to solve the problem, various boundary conditions, and equipments and instruments used. The author should state his\her thesis with formulas, figures and tables in the paper to convince readers.)
c. Main results and findings (This part is the chief achievement and contribution. It should be stated with formulas, figures, tables, etc. to add credence to the conclusion.)
d. The innovation and originality of the paper (the author can compare the results of his/ her study with others’ in the conclusion if possible to highlight the main achievements, the innovation and originality of the paper.)
(2) The syntax of an English abstract should follow the three general principles.
a. Short sentences are preferred.
b. In general, use past tenses when describing the author’s work, whereas use present tenses when stating conclusions of the work.
c. Active voice is preferred. e.g. A exceeds B is better than B is exceeded by A.

5.Article Processing Charge
Information Technology and Applications (ITA) is an international academic journal (Open Access), papers on which can be freely browsed, downloaded, cited and spread. Ivy publisher insures that no libraries or individuals need to pay any fee to read the articles, so IVY gets no benefit from the publication of papers. Paper processing fee will be funded by the institutes of authors or research funds. The details are as follows: papers of ≤10
pages, 800 yuan per paper; Papers of over 10 pages would cost 50 yuan per page.
