Abstract: This paper studied the initial value problem of the Schnakenberg equations. The first-order approximate solution was obtained by using two-timing scales method, and then error estimate was obtained with the use of a nonlinear Gronwall inequality to show that the obtained approximate solution is uniformly valid for 、 .
