Evaluation of Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Efficiency in 31 Provinces and Cities of China Based on DEA Model

Abstract: Based on the two aspects of input index and output index, this paper establishes an agricultural efficiency evaluation system, and uses DEA model to evaluate the agricultural data of 31 provinces and cities in 2021. From the analysis of comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency, the projection analysis of non-effective DEA regions is carried out. The results show that the overall efficiency of agricultural science and technology innovation in China is not high, and the gap between regions is large. Input redundancy and insufficient output are the key to improving the input and output efficiency of agricultural science and technology innovation in some provinces and cities. Therefore, it is proposed to optimize the rational allocation of agricultural science and technology resources, encourage exchanges between provinces and cities, narrow the gap, train and introduce talents, and improve the efficiency of agricultural science and technology innovation.
