Analysis of Factors Affecting Functional Recovery after Pediatric Foot Deformity Correction Surgery

Abstract: Objective: This study aims to analyze the key factors affecting functional recovery after pediatric foot deformity correction surgery and assess the impact of personalized rehabilitation plans on improving postoperative recovery outcomes. Methods: A prospective cohort study design was used, involving 100 children who underwent foot deformity correction surgery from January to December 2023 at a specific medical center. The patients were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 50 children in each group. In addition to routine postoperative care, the experimental group received a comprehensive rehabilitation program including personalized physical therapy, nutritional intervention, psychological health interventions, and family support. Results: The experimental group showed significantly better scores in immediate postoperative recovery and during follow-up evaluations compared to the control group, particularly in areas of pain control, range of motion, gait analysis, and independent walking ability. Conclusion: Personalized rehabilitation plans for children undergoing foot deformity correction surgery effectively enhance functional recovery, reduce postoperative complications, and improve the quality of life for these patients. These findings highlight the importance of integrated interventions in the rehabilitation process following pediatric foot deformity surgery and provide more precise treatment strategies for clinical practice.
