Application Value of Nursing Based on the Timeliness Incentive Theory in Promoting Physical and Psychological Rehabilitation and Improving Long-term Prognosis in Elderly Patients with Myocardial Infarction

Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of a nursing model based on the timeliness incentive theory on the physical and psychological rehabilitation and long-term prognosis of elderly patients with myocardial infarction. Methods: A total of 68 elderly patients with myocardial infarction admitted to our hospital from June 2024 to August 2025 were randomly assigned into groups. The routine care group included 34 patients who received conventional nursing. The intervention group also included 34 patients, who received nursing interventions integrating the timeliness incentive theory based on conventional care. Patient physiological indicators, improvements in negative emotions, control of adverse cardiovascular events, and improvements in quality of life were observed. Results: After intervention, the intervention group showed better improvements in heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and urine output compared to the routine care group. In addition, both PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores were lower, CQQC total scores were higher, and the incidence of MACE was lower in the intervention group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing interventions guided by the timeliness incentive theory can effectively promote the physical and psychological rehabilitation of elderly patients with myocardial infarction and have clear clinical value for improving long-term prognosis.
