Clinical Efficacy Analysis of Standard Large Trauma Craniotomy for Craniocerebral Injury

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of standard large trauma craniotomy for the treatment of craniocerebral injury. Methods: A prospective controlled study was conducted on 60 patients with craniocerebral injury admitted to our hospital from November 2023 to June 2025. The patients were divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received traditional craniotomy with bone flap, while the experimental group received standard large trauma craniotomy. The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores, hematoma clearance rates, and complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results: The decrease in GCS scores in the experimental group was significantly greater than that in the control group; the hematoma clearance rate (92.6±4.8) was significantly higher than that in the control group (78.3±5.2) ; and the hospitalization duration (18.2±3.5) was significantly shorter than that in the control group (25.6±4.3) (P<0.05). Conclusion: Standard large trauma craniotomy for the treatment of craniocerebral injury has good clinical efficacy, with advantages such as significantly improving neurological function, reducing intracranial pressure, and decreasing complications. It can effectively promote patient recovery and significantly enhance clinical treatment value.
