Analysis of the Application Effect of High-Quality Nursing Services and Complication Prevention in Patients with Peptic Ulcer Bleeding

Abstract: Objective: To explore the application effect of high-quality nursing services in patients with peptic ulcer bleeding, analyze its impact on hemostasis time, hospitalization duration, and complication rates, summarize key points for complication prevention, and provide practical references for clinical nursing work. Methods: A total of 120 patients with peptic ulcer bleeding admitted to the gastroenterology department of our hospital from January 2025 to December 2025 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing measures, while the observation group received high-quality nursing services in addition to the control group's measures. Both groups were followed until the patients were cured and discharged. The hemostasis time, hospitalization duration, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. The incidence of postoperative complications such as rebleeding, infection, abdominal distension, and electrolyte disorders was recorded and analyzed to evaluate the preventive effect of high-quality nursing on complications. Results: The observation group had a shorter hemostasis time, fewer hospitalization days, and higher nursing satisfaction than the control group, with statistically significant differences. The complication rate in the observation group was 6.67%, significantly lower than the control group's 21.67%, with a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: The application of high-quality nursing services in patients with peptic ulcer bleeding can effectively shorten hemostasis time and hospitalization duration, improve nursing satisfaction, and significantly reduce complication rates. Through scientifically comprehensive nursing interventions, it can effectively prevent various complications, promote rapid patient recovery, and is worthy of widespread clinical application.
