Analysis of the Effect of Refined Positional Nursing on Cerebral Edema Control in Patients with Large-Area Cerebral Infarction

Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of refined positional nursing on cerebral edema control in patients with large-area cerebral infarction and provide evidence for clinical nursing optimization. Methods: 126 patients admitted from January to June 2025 were divided into two groups (63 cases each) by nursing method. The control group received routine positional nursing, and the observation group was given refined positional nursing. Cerebral edema resolution time, intracranial pressure peak, hospital stay and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The observation group had significantly shorter edema resolution time, lower intracranial pressure peak, shorter hospital stay and lower complication rate (6.35% vs 20.63%) than the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Refined positional nursing effectively promotes cerebral edema resolution, reduces intracranial pressure, shortens hospital stay and decreases complications in patients with large-area cerebral infarction, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
