Financial Performance Evaluation of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway using Entropy Weight Method

Abstract: The Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway is the first listed high-speed railway company in China and has a very significant representativeness in the railway transportation industry. Through a specific analysis of the operation and financial status of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and a comprehensive evaluation of its financial performance based on the entropy weight method, this paper found that the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway has problems such as low long-term debt-paying ability, the need to improve its operational capacity and insufficient cash management ability. In response to these three aspects of problems, we have given corresponding suggestions, hoping to be helpful for the improvement of financial performance of companies in the same industry.
