Research on Cross-Cultural Communication Mechanisms of News Discourse from the Perspective of Literary Translation

Abstract: This study addresses the threefold challenges faced by news communication in the context of globalization: linguistic structural differences, cultural value conflicts, and misunderstandings of social customs. It develops systematic solutions grounded in Literary Translation. Through a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research, the study deconstructs cross-cultural communication barriers through semiotic representation mechanisms, innovates multi-modal translation strategies and AI-assisted systems, and establishes a cultural adaptation-oriented evaluation framework. Using international mainstream media's China-related reports from the past three years as corpus, along with multinational audience surveys and controlled experiments, the research validates the explanatory power of Literary Translation in addressing communication barriers. Results indicate that this theoretical framework effectively diagnoses cross-cultural communication pain points, with multi-modal strategies significantly improving information acceptance, while AI systems demonstrate optimization potential in culturally sensitive scenarios. The research expands the application theory dimensions, and pioneers new paths for cultural adaptation optimization in AI translation systems.
