Construction and Practice of an Ideological and Political Education Teaching Model for Engineering Mechanics Courses through Connotative Integration of Yellow River Culture

Abstract: This paper reconstructs the ideological and political education model for engineering mechanics courses by connotative integrating Yellow River culture into specialized curricula. Guided by the principles of deep ideological-political integration, we systematically excavated educational resources from Yellow River culture and established a "five-dimensional symbiotic model" encompassing cultural heritage, engineering ethics, innovative thinking, practical competence, and patriotic sentiment. An innovative "dual-path mechanism for progressive student development" was designed to foster interdisciplinary competency cultivation. Teaching practices demonstrate that this model achieves profound integration of professional knowledge transmission and value shaping, simultaneously enhancing students' disciplinary capabilities while significantly strengthening their cultural awareness of the Yellow River Basin, social responsibility as engineers, and ethical literacy in engineering practice.
