Visualization Analysis of Research Hotspots and Frontiers of College Students’ Mental Health in China Based on Citespace

Abstract: Objective: To explore the evolution, main academic contributions and research hotspots of college students ' mental health research in China in recent ten years. Methods: CiteSpace visual analysis software was used to analyze the core Chinese journals of Peking University included in CNKI from January 2013 to February 2023, including authors, publishing institutions and high-frequency keywords. Results: A total of 2370 literatures were included. The study found that the total number of publications in this field was large, but it had decreased year by year since the development peak in 2013, and the number of publications increased significantly at the end of 2019. There are few core authors, and the core author group with strong academic influence has not yet been formed. The mutual citation relationship between research teams is weak, and the degree of research cooperation needs to be improved. 'Mental health', 'college students', 'social support ' and 'countermeasures' are hot words. Conclusion: Future research should strengthen the cooperation between authors and research institutions, enrich the theoretical system and implementation path of mental health education, and explore more research hotspots.
